As with any market, the number of companies creating elliptical machines grows every day. Not all of these are reliable and without doing the proper research before buying this is only discovered through trial and error.
You don’t have to do the research yourself though; others have done it for you and written elliptical machine rating articles, which will be summarized in this post so that all the information you need is in one place.
When we take a look at the top entries on the elliptical machine rating, we find that the Spirit XE 350 is extremely high on the list. People call it the best entry-level elliptical trainer, one with many features and not horribly expensive. This device contains a wireless heart-rate monitor and ten programs that can be customized by the user.
The stride length is long enough to accommodate taller users and comes with a lifetime warranty on the frame and five years on the parts. The estimated price of this machine is $1450.
Another elliptical trainer with high rating is the Precor EFX 5.17i. Not quiet as affordable as the Spirit XE 350; the price is estimated at $2700. But it is known as the best elliptical trainer and the most durable.
Elliptical Machine Rating
The feature that sets it apart from those many other machines is the incline that can be adjusted from 12 to 25 degrees, as well as the lack of a weight-limit. However, the Precor does not offer an upper body workout, which to some might put it at a disadvantage.
Third on our list is the Fitness Quest Eclipse 1100 HR/A, also known as the budget elliptical trainer. This elliptical trainer is not as stable as the more expensive models, but not half bad for a price of only $400.
It comes with a one year warranty, two heart rate programs and handgrip heart rate sensors. Not as many options, but more than enough to be effective.
Last but not least to complete our top four in the elliptical machine rating is the Precor EFX 5.33, the club-quality elliptical trainer. This one does have the moving bars that can give you an upper body workout and also has a fixed incline of 20 degrees.
However you must choose either the incline or the upper body workout; both at the same time won’t work. The price is estimated at $3800.
